A Chinese bubble tea house is a specialized café or shop that primarily serves bubble tea, also known as boba tea. Boba tea is a popular beverage that combines tea (usually black or green) with milk or fruit flavors and chewy tapioca pearls (boba). Here's what available at BenGong's bubble tea house: They offer a wide range of drinks, including traditional milk teas, fruit teas, slushies, and smoothies. They often provide customizable options for sweetness levels, ice levels, and additional toppings like fruit jellies, pudding, and popping boba. The ambiance is casual and inviting, designed for socializing and relaxation. The decor has a modern, colorful elements with comfortable seating, inspired by traditional Chinese backdrop of a wishing tree and Chinese artwork, to create an authentic experience. The menu features various flavors such as classic black milk tea, matcha, taro, and fruit-infused teas. Seasonal specials and unique house blends is also available. Besides bubble tea, this establishment also offers a selection of snacks and light bites and various pastries. The service is quick and efficient, with a focus on catering to both dine-in and take-out customers. We had about ten drinks for our family and it didn't take long to make. Overall, this spot lively, trendy spot that offers a taste bubble tea culture through its signature drinks and snacks.

Delicious boba tea here. Great customer service and atmosphere. You should give a try

Can't get enough of this tea shop! The service and ambiance are great. I always order their Jasmine green tea with tea jelly drink. This drink is not too sweet, just the way I like it

This place is super lovely and the drinks are great! Me and my friend ordered the grape cheese slush and the mango pomelo sago.

cute place and friendly staffs. i tried one in san diego but i love this one more. they deserve 5 stars

Lovely and comfortable interior but the music was sway too loud for my taste. Very pricy for one large drink from their popular drinks menu, and if ordering from kiosk, tip is automatically added...unless you catch it and opt out. Taste = 6/10. Slightly watery/lacking prominent strawberry flavor, although I requested less sweet. I want to return for another drink to be able to better assess.

Irvine is definitely the land of milk (tea) and honey (boba). One cafe closes, another one opens! Bengong's was founded about a decade ago and has since grown to over 700 locations globally. There are a few in San Diego and the San Gabriel Valley area, but I'm rarely in those areas. I saw they took over the space Cherubic Tea previously occupied and had to stop by to try. You will find them at The Market Place, between Supercuts and Aspire Dental. Parking is usually not an issue. Inside there's a faux tree with written wishes hanging on the branches and new artwork hanging on the walls. Most of the interior is the same, marble/pink colored walls with white countertops, wooden floor panels, felt chairs, and gold colored tables. My first visit during the soft opening was okay. Their signature Mango Pomelo Sago was more coconut than anything and the bits of fruit were sour. Sago pearls were decent at least. The second visit was more enjoyable, I liked the balance of sweet and earthy flavors in the Uji Matcha Milk Tea. The boba was so fresh, you could warm up your hands by holding the bottom of the cup. The texture was soft but still had some chewiness to it. Peach Oolong Milk Tea was refreshing and creamy. Definitely an upgrade compared to Cherubic Tea!

I ordered a large special milk tea with 50% sweet and less ice. The drink itself was more milky than tea flavored. I usually don't like too much boba, and I think they put the perfect amount here. The boba was smaller than I prefer, but it was still chewy. There are many drinks on the menu that I'm interested to try, so I would definitely come back. TIP: This is not the best place to study. The music is playing pretty loudly and there are no outlets for charging. I also don't think there's a bathroom.
